Root Motion may move in a different direction in UE5 EA.

If there is an angle in the skeleton Root, the direction of movement will be shifted by the angle when playing RootMotion.

This was not a problem in UE4, but in UE5, I can confirm this symptom.

The steps to check are
Retarget the motion that contains the root motion to the character that has the angle in Root.
Activate the root motion and check the motion.
The Root motion will shift by the amount of the angle in the Root.

A fix for this was submitted earlier this week. If you’re building from source, this should be fixed by updating to latest on GitHub. Otherwise, it will be available in the next official release.
