After adding a root bone to mixamo animations and importing into UE5.4, enabling loop or loop and reset in the preview of the animation, the Hips bone will be offset by a very large distance. I can’t even zoom out enough to screenshot it.
I first thought it was because of the animations or the mixamo converter plugin for blender, so I tried many different options to fix it, including reverting to an older version of blender and the plugin.
After opening a new project in UE5.3 and importing the same assets there, I noticed that it plays fine there, so my only conclusion is that it is broken in 5.4. This cost me a few weeks to figure out, and now I can’t continue.
