Root Motion Breaks In Sequencer when Referencing Previous Bone

In sequencer. Why does my character’s animation with “Root Motion” break, when I set the following animation sequence to “Match with this bone in previous clip”? The entire root motion converts to “In Place”. This is not what I want. Video attached.

rather than matching the bone with foot, match it with root bone in the previous clip and the next clip.

you’ll have to do that with both the animation the next that you attach and the previous one that you start with.

Unfortunately this didn’t solve it for me. The animation continues to break the root motion and set it as “in-place”, when setting the “Match With This Bone…” as “root”. For both before and after clips.

I’m using UE 5.6.
