Root Motion Blending

Hey! Just figured out that root motion has problems with blending animation.
For example: My character running in X axis with root motion animation and begins to fall down from ledge. For falling I use regular animation loop (without root motion). Then when animations is blending character loose his X axis velocity and begins just falling verticaly down. But with duration blending = 0 it is seems ok. But I need blending)).
Is there any solution to transmit a velocity?
