Roof design

So I am creating a fantasy based workshop level which has a bit of a steam punk influence to it.

I am finished blocking it out with BSP and I am in the middle of sourcing & creating my own static meshes in 3DS Max. I am struggling to create anything good in regards to roofing lol.

I have taken inspiration from The Witcher 3’s building roofs in and around Novigrad (if that helps). I am looking to create that style, are there any resources / tutorials / hidden gems that have a good technique to accomplish this?
