Rolling Ball; the most efficient and appropriate way to implement Tilt input?

i am trying to implement tilt input to roll the boll along right vector and up vector of the ball, so far i made the blue print work for my One Plus One Android Device, but i am wondering what would be the most appropriate approach for implementing tilt as an input for rolling a ball ???
