Rocket Racing vehicle plays a constant wind sound while driving on the ground (also in a blank project)

A car from the Rocket Racing Vehicle Spawner plays a loud, constant wind/air rush sound while the player sits in it on the ground. The sound plays even when the car is standing still. It goes silent as soon as the car is airborne and comes back on landing. It stops when the player gets out and starts again when they get back in. It also happens in a new blank project with only one Rocket Racing Vehicle Spawner on default settings, so it isn’t caused by island content or Verse.

Steps to Reproduce:

  1. Create a new blank UEFN project.
  2. Place one Rocket Racing Vehicle Spawner with default settings. Add no other devices and no Verse.
  3. Launch Session and get into the car.
  4. Listen while standing still and while driving on the ground.
  5. Jump or drive off a ramp so the car is in the air.
  6. Get out of the car, then get back in.

Expected Result:
No wind sound while the car is on the ground, only the normal engine and drive sounds.

Observed Result:

  • A constant wind/air sound plays the whole time the car is on the ground, even at 0 speed.
  • It goes silent only while the car is airborne and returns on landing.
  • It stops when the player exits and returns when they enter again.
  • In our larger project it first appeared only from the second time a player got into a car (after a map change or a respawn of the car), and later on every entry, including the first spawn.

Platform(s):
PC (Windows), UEFN Launch Session

Additional Notes:

  • Things we ruled out in our project: hiding the vehicle (Show = false), attaching meshes to the driver, AssignDriver / RemoveAgent seating, and teleports. The sound is identical with all of them removed, and it also happens in the blank project.
  • The spawner has no audio option to turn this sound off.
  • This may be related to FORT-1154657, where Rocket Racing vehicle sounds are too loud and distorted when entering, drifting and boosting.
