Hello
I’m currently using Rivermax with CustomTimeStep Sync enabled in Unreal Engine. However, I keep seeing the following warning in the UE log:
\
LogRivermaxMedia: Warning: The Engine couldn't run fast enough to keep up with the CustomTimeStep Sync. '3' frame(s) dropped.
LogRivermaxMedia: Warning: The Engine couldn't run fast enough to keep up with the CustomTimeStep Sync. '11' frame(s) dropped.
LogRivermaxMedia: Warning: The Engine couldn't run fast enough to keep up with the CustomTimeStep Sync. '2' frame(s) dropped.
LogRivermaxMedia: Warning: The Engine couldn't run fast enough to keep up with the CustomTimeStep Sync. '1' frame(s) dropped.
LogRivermaxMedia: Warning: The Engine couldn't run fast enough to keep up with the CustomTimeStep Sync. '4' frame(s) dropped.
My setup includes:
- PTP master clock on the network
- BlueField-2 and BlueField-3 DPUs, tested both
Despite a stable PTP environment, this frame drop issue still occurs frequently. I would really appreciate any help or insight on this.
If possible, I’d love to follow up via email for deeper technical discussion. Please let me know if direct contact is an option.
Thanks in advance!
