Rigging in Maya for Unreal Engine 5

What is the best method to create a rig for a cartoonish cube in Maya, with Squash and Stretch functionality, and the ability to animate it in Unreal Engine 5?

Since deformers do not work when transferring this rig from Maya to Unreal Engine 5, what are the possible solutions or alternatives to address this issue?
