Myself and a friend require a rigger to rig and skin a character thats ready modelled in Blender for use in UE4.
We have basic knowledge of rigging and skinning but need someone more advanced than ourselves.
Can you tell a bit more about the character and rig? Is it human(oid), animal, something else?
Whats the aimed quality? Fully anatomical high quality muscle sim AAA game rig or 19-bone-2-weightInfluences mobile? Whats your time window?
Will it need to be mocap compatible, will you require to hand animate? Or is it just a skeletal rig? Is blender a definitive software or do you have other options? Will this be paid? whats the project like?
I dont have time myself, but Im just asking from a riggers perspektive here things that people wanna know when facing this sort of request.
The Character is Human and quality as close to AAA as possible, It doesnt need a impressive face rig but we do desire a squash and stretch functionality aswell as IK in the arms and Legs.
Time Window no immediate rush but this is our next step in progress of development.
It does not need to be mocap and all animation will be hand animated.
Blender is really our only option.
In terms of paid it would be something that needs to be discussed as we are a 2 man team at the moment.
The project is in early stages the most important aim at this point is a well made character.
Thanks for that @HeadClot will keep a close eye on that.
The main reason I ask is that it would be good to see the finished work of a professional. Automatic Riggers are great and normally are good enough. But sometimes the weight painting isnβt the best or bone placement is not great. Just looking for someone who can show what a professional rig would look like on a character like ours.
