So me and my friend have been working on our first game since 2019. We started with no knowledge of game development, our only experience with games up to then was playing them. We started learning for around a year and the decided to just jump in and learn as we went.
For the past 3 years we have been developing our first game “Rickstones” built in UE5. The fact UE5 is free and we all know by now what UE5 is capable of, we have been able to, in our eyes, create our first game far beyond anything we could have pictured with ease considering only 3 years experience and no published games yet.
As far as development, the map is complete other than a polish up and we are working on finishing up the gameplay mechanics so we are not far off from completing this 3 year project.
