I am wondering the best course of action for games that are rhythm based like DDR, Guitar Hero, or at least games that have a hud added to the viewport with pickups or actors you collect. To be clarify more I need help trying to figure out how to have the player play only from the HUD and collect on top of that widget while things are going on background or in UE4’s case play in the widget only while characters move in the map/scene.

For example, merging the HUD/Widgets of the rhythm gameplay can be combined with the 3D world and can be seen in part 5 of the series. hope this helps…
