Hey everyone,
I’m a solo developer running Ilardeus Studio LLC, an independent studio based out of Florida. I am looking for a technical partner to help get our first commercial release across the finish line. I handle all the professional environment design and world-building, but I need a solid Blueprint programmer to handle the implementation logic. This role is fully remote, so you can be based anywhere in the world.
We are working strictly in Unreal Engine 5.6 on a psychological, narrative-driven first-person game. The project is an episodic experience focused heavily on cinematic pacing, environmental storytelling, and authored player progression. We are intentionally avoiding traditional combat and procedural generation in favor of a highly controlled, deliberate atmosphere.
Right now, I am in active production on Episode 1, which will serve as our foundational demo. The great news is that I already have a complete, locked Game Design Document (GDD) for Episodes 1–5. The systems, structure, and progression rules are entirely figured out.
Best of all, the mechanics are very simple and straightforward. We aren’t building bloated, overly complex systems—just clean, highly polished interaction, inspection, and sequencing logic. I just need the right technical partner to execute them and help bring this first episode to life.
What You’ll Be Doing
-
Blueprint Implementation: Using UE 5.6 Blueprints to build clean gameplay, interaction, and item inspect systems.
-
Game Logic: Handling basic progression logic, sequencing, and player state management.
-
Flow & Transitions: Supporting smooth level transitions and cinematic flow.
-
Collaboration: Working closely with me to keep everything optimized, consistent, and within scope.
What I’m Looking For
-
Strong, hands-on experience with UE 5.6 and Blueprint development.
-
A solid grasp of basic gameplay systems and interaction logic.
-
Someone who is happy executing from a locked GDD rather than wanting to redesign core systems from scratch.
-
A self-driven developer comfortable communicating directly with a solo creator.
-
I’d love to see some prior UE work (a portfolio, videos, prototypes, or previous projects).
The Deal & Time Commitment
-
Compensation: This is a revenue-share collaboration. Specific terms will be discussed privately based on your exact role, execution, and long-term commitment.
-
Time: I’m looking for a consistent 5–10 hours a week.
-
The Vibe: Since it’s just me right now, there is zero bureaucratic overhead. This is an execution-focused role, perfect for someone who just wants to jump in, build out straightforward systems, and ship a project without having to invent mechanics from scratch.
