[RevShare] Looking for Environment Artist

Looking for:
Environment / Level Artist as project partner for a late-production narrative game.

Game is fully playable from menu to final scene. Core systems, triggers, UI, inventory, journal, dialogue flow, and surveying mechanic are implemented. I need a partner to bring the world to release quality.

Our talent:
Solo indie developer: Lead, Narrative Director, Audio Systems Designer. I handle code, gameplay, narrative, audio, PM, and direction.

Project:
Narrative adventure set on a remote 1890s North Sea island. The player follows two cartographers through island. Slow-burn, atmospheric, dialogue-driven, non-combat; focused on exploration, environmental storytelling, documents, and cartographic interactions.

The project is being developed seriously as a commercial portfolio title with the goal of reaching a full public release. The strongest current need is an Environment / Level Art partner who can take ownership of the final world pass.

Visual direction:
Strict Retro-3D / Source Engine era. Mid-poly environments, 512px texture budgets, soft lighting, fog, no Nanite, no Lumen, legacy-style UE5 pipeline, 30 FPS lock.

Responsibilities:
Level planning, world building, and level assembly in UE5: set dressing, modular assembly, interiors, prop placement, closing gaps, foliage/terrain/roads, lighting/fog polish, consistent island-wide look, and Level Streaming Volumes.

Requirements:

  • UE4/UE5 level-building or environment art skills
  • Build believable spaces from existing assets
  • Comfortable with legacy-style UE5 pipeline
  • Portfolio / screenshots / ArtStation / levels you planned or built
  • Interest in atmospheric, non-combat narrative games
  • Reliability, communication, version control commits

Length of project: Final production, ~4–5 months.
Split %: 25% RevShare from net revenue, formal agreement
