Revit Shared Coordinates - not correct

Hi,

This question is asked more then once by different users but there is no answer yet. Revit uses shared coordinates to align different projects to the right place when linked with eachother. The problem is when you link or export the seperate revit project to twinmotion it just resets the project to the zero point of the first imported project. The only project that comes to the right position is the first linked project.

Why does this happen? How can I link different Revit projects to Twinmotion with there own coordinates.

Thanks.

Hello ,

Thank you for posting in the community your question. I was hoping you could let me know what method you are using to bring in the models, are you using the Datasmith Exporter plugin with the Direct-Link or another method?

Maybe as a workaround try setting up a "site" file with the Revit elements/buildings in the right place for them to come in correctly placed.

Could you please contact us and report a bug so we can investigate this further with you.

Hi

Thank you for your answer. I also reported a bug report but will answer in this chat so wel can push people with the same problem to the right direction.

I am using Datasmith Exporter plugin in Revit to direct link in Twinmotion. I think the problem is dat Twinmotion don't reconize the ''shared coordination'' of Revit. This is a methode to communicate between Revit projects and external software to position the moddels on the same world location.

Thanks.
