Hey everyone,
I’m hitting a massive issue using the Revit-Twinmotion Datasmith Direct Link workflow in Twinmotion 2026.1 HF1.
Whenever I reload or sync, random geometry (sometimes the entire building) shifts, rotates, or jumps arbitrarily—in some cases by 20+ meters. Coordinates and units match perfectly in both programs, and nothing has moved in Revit. It feels like the internal hierarchy/transformation matrix is breaking.
If I change the import settings to “Collapse by Material,” reload, and then switch back to “Keep Hierarchy” and reload again, elements snap back to their correct locations. However, this completely wipes my custom Twinmotion material assignments, forcing a full re-texture.
Manually repositioning geometry is a nightmare on a project this size. How do I force Twinmotion to read the correct coordinates on a standard “Keep Hierarchy” sync without losing my materials or throwing geometry out of place? Is this a known 2026.1 bug, and has anyone found a permanent fix?
