Hello, last night I was working on my project in UEFN. My power went out due to storm while I was working. Today after I started UEFN my revision control was turned off and it says: Server Unavailable. When I try to switch to Unreal Revision Control I get the erros in the screenshots.
Anyone knows how to fix this? Also on other projects Revision Control works fine, It is specifically this one I was working on when the power went out.
Hey,
Close editor or switch to a different map, then use windows explorer to go to your Fortnite Projects folder and move your problem project folder somewhere else.
Open UEFN and you should be able to download your last snapshot, and hopefully it will have the branch metadata thing intact.
You’ll be able to search your moved project folder for UASSETs by date, copy and paste them into your map to restore whatever you added since your last check in
Hello, It did not work, I am not sure what you mean by downloading last snapshot. When I move the folder my project dissapear from My Projects and then I need to go to Browse and then select the folder and uefnproject file to enter my map again. But if I do it like that nothing changes and Revision control is still unavailable. Im confused like how does this happen?? Isnt Revision Control supposed to prevent the loss of my progress when something goes bad? So why when my power went out I cant even access the Rev. Control. Sounds dumb…
Also tried reinstalling UEFN - didnt help…
Does anyone else have acess to your project?
Also could you try following the steps here to get the CLI of Revision Control working?
When you do that inside your project folder what does urc2 branch list
return?
Not getting a download option in My Projects is not a good sign, you should be getting an option to download the last URC save when it can’t find your local save.
Snapshot is a Check-in Changes / URC save point.
Copy your map back to Fortnite Projects (keep the one you moved as well so you have a backup)
Hopefully Mineblo’s suggestion gets some results
@KrimTheCreator are you still experiencing this issue with your project?
