Reverb plugin of Google Resonance for UE4 doesn't work.

Hi, I am working with UE 4.19.1 and I was trying to dive in the features of Google Resonance Plugin for my project.
I tried to set to my Audio Volume a Reverb Plugin Preset as in the guide of resonance for unreal (Resonance Audio - Developer Guide for Resonance Audio for Unreal) setting the walls material to ‘Uniform’ but nothing changed, no reverb effect was heard and the same problem occurred when I tried to change the Global Reverb Preset.
All my sound cues are Binaural spatialized and inside the Audio Volume.

Any hints on how to solve the problem? Anyone else had the same problem?

is resonance also set as your Spatialization Plug In under platform in Project Settings? my understanding is that both need to be enabled on the platform you are using for the reverb to work (you do not, however, have to use resonanace’s occlusion). also, installing the latest version of resonance 1.21 (which requires a special build of ue4) may solve the problem:

  1. Gain access to Epic’s GitHub repository.
  2. Download or clone the 4.19-resonance-audio branch on the repository.
Note that this page displays a 404 error if you have not yet gained access to Epic’s GitHub repository.
  3. Follow Epic’s instructions on Building Unreal Engine from Source.

Yes I follow that guide and already set Resonance Audio as plugin into those settings but still not working at all.

One thing I’ve noticed is that Resonance requires the listener and the source to be in the same Audio Volume, sounds outside of the Audio Volume will not be included in the Reverb Processing–this is feedback I hope to give the Google Team when I have the chance.

i, too, am unable to get reverb to work within an audio volume (using google resonance 1.0 within UE4 stock). i can get the master reverb to work (i.e. turns on everywhere at all times), but not the reverb that is contained within the limits of an audio volume.

has anyone else been able to get this to work? pretty happy with the quality of the spatialization in resonance, and would love to be able to use the plugin, but no reverb is kind of a deal breaker.

If you’re hearing the Native UE4 Reverb, then you have not selected Google Resonance as your Reverb Plugin and/or your Spatialization Plugin in your Platform Settings.

You will need both to use it:

Sorry, I should have been clearer. When I stated “master reverb” i was referring to the Global Reverb Preset that you can set within Resonance (Project Settings/Plugins/Resonance Audio).
After some experimentation, deleting the audio volume and creating a new one ultimately solved the problem. Not sure what was going on with that.

Is it possible to use the other submix effects with Resonance (flexiverb, tap delay) or any of the other effects that are in built in UE4 so that one could, say, assign a slap delay to an audio volume?
Ideally, it’d be nice to have concurrent verbs and delay available to be assigned to different spaces that could be altered by game values -such as distance- (whether those be defined by audio volumes or somehow in blueprint). If their is documentation or any use case examples your could point me to, that would be much appreciated.

When I tried to create submixes and assign effects to them, it seemed to corrupt the submix asset and would consistently crash the editor. I don’t know if that is because resonance is enabled, or if it is a conflict elsewhere. At the moment, it seems to only want me to have one submix (which simply has a limiter on it):
