Restricted Inventory Broken in Game update

I have a restricted inventory component using RemoteInventoryAllowAddItems it has been working fine for 6 months or so, but with one of the recent updates it no longer accepts transfers of items. I have added logging, and can see that RemoteInventoryAllowAddItems is being called and the return value is set to true at the right time. The inventory/item still works fine in the SDK but not in game. Does anyone know what the devs may have changed that would break this mechanism? It got borked somewhere before/around the 18th of November.

I already submitted a repro, but I do not expect a result before the DLC releases and some time for the first patches go by. By mid of January it should work again or a dev kit update contains the updated function signature.

Any idea what is broken, any way to work around it for the moment?
