I have been working on this project to practice exterior+interior inside UE4.
I was very inspired by this restaurant situated in high altitude, with a unique architecture design. Some of you may have seen it in the latest James Bond “SPECTRE”.
It was quite challenging since I needed a snowy environment and i’m not that good at it, but I managed to build a decent heightmap using World Machine and a splatmap technique following some tutorials.
I focused on the interior since I know more about the techniques, and managed to get some decent lightmaps and performance in-game. 1440p running at 30fps (frame capped) on a GTX 780.

World Settings:
For the settings, it all depends on your scene. For me this, these settings were good without having to trade off to much quality and keeping reasonable render times.
If your scene isn’t too big, you could probably test the “Production preset”, and possibly tweak the .ini files but that really kills the render times
