Hey I just noticed that a lot of Android games use content from comics, most of these games was created by indie developers on Google Play store and It’s fine, but we can do exactly same thing at PC and Console platforms?
My game that I working on use content from DC Comics, any character/characters, personality and plot story was created by writers working at comics book industry.
So in this case I wonder if this is legal and what I should do if I want release game when it will be finished in the future?
That has copyright infringement written all over it. Unless it falls under “fair use”, and even then, you could be heading for some real legal problems.
^ This is is correct - you cannot use characters, or settings, from DC Comics without explicit legal permission to do so.
