Resource hog editor

hi, trying out unreal and finding it a real resource hog on my mac. Is there something that might be causing this? All I’ve done is create a new project from the standard 2D platformer template. It’s a year old i7 with 16gb ram and dedicated graphics so the spec should be fine. Had the same problem when I tried it out a couple of months back. Currently using the other UN based engine but like to keep my options open.
