Super basic question which I hope someone can quickly answer for me (fingers crossed)
I have a simple graph crossfading two waves over a short time period. I’m using a Trigger Route 2 to set the initial values of which waves are playing first and then the Crossfade node to interpolate between the two waves.
I would like to alternate the inputs so that the waves crossfade back again over time. I can’t for the life of me figure out how I would do such a thing. Very new to this.
Maybe some more info will help. I have got something working using a bunch of Trigger Repeat, Random Time and a Delay node’s but its clunky and I don’t have nice control over when the Waves are switching.
Basically I want to switch back and forth from 0 - 1 on that Set 1 Value of the Trigger Route node. This will crossfade the two tracks. If I add the Input Slider you see in the image I can perform the exact thing I want when playing the metasound. I simply want to automate this transitioning.
Hello,
You aim to create a continuous loop of alternating waveforms, smoothly transitioning between them using crossfades.
Achieving the Desired Effect:
Create Multiple Tracks: Set up two tracks, one for each waveform.
Overlap Waveforms: Extend the first waveform to overlap with the second.
Apply Crossfade: Select the overlapping region and use Audacity’s “Crossfade Classic” effect. AARP
Looping: To create a continuous loop, duplicate the first waveform and place it after the second. Apply another crossfade at the end of the second waveform.
Adjust Crossfade Length: Experiment with different crossfade lengths to achieve the desired effect.
