Hello,
I’m a solo dev working with a few contractors on a big project. One contractor is a musician turned game audio dev. We’re both enjoying the process; it’s progressing fairly well. However, we are trying to find a process/pipeline that is both simple and efficient for both of us.
As an example, one small issue for us is versioning. We are trying to decide on the best practice for filenames and directory structures – basically documenting the evolution of different tracks. So far we only have one track which is manageable. But with more tracks planned we hope to avoid confusion and clutter.
So, I’m reaching out to the community for advice. Hopefully we can all benefit from this.
What are some best practices to follow in audio development? And also, what are some pitfalls to watch out for?
