With 4.5 came the new ability to weld things together. Which is great! But I have a few improvements/fixes I’d like to see to the system.
When you weld 2 objects together certain aspects of the child are lost or overridden by the parent object:
- Mass scale of the child is ignored/overridden.
- Gravity of the child is ignored/overridden.
- Physical material of the child is ignored/overridden.
Given how welding is implemented I’m not sure if it’s possible for these things to be kept.
However it would be great if you guys could make it so that these properties aren’t lost/overridden in the children when welded to a parent object.
