(Disclaimer): I know that this is talked about somewhere in the world of UEFN and creative but I had an interesting idea of a possible weapon bench system that could be used in both creative and during the game. I am not to experienced yet with how much space this could take in a file/island. Maybe different variations of a weapon bench could be an option so space can be less of a problem in certain maps that focus on detailed design rather then bland space saving. They’re Idea’s in here that haven’t come to battle royal but I could see them adding in the future or just wild speculations.
If there was more then one bench that could be added so that it would save space on maps here is what I could see it looking like:
Upgrade Bench (Basic settings) [Creative]:
[Rarity cap] Common to Mythic (maybe Exotic for Verse players to give a weapon a unique effect)
While like I was talking about how benches could be very hard on space in a map. If It doesn’t take a lot of space and you can put multiples down there could be a setting to change the rarity of the upgrade bench making it give some perks over another bench modification UI or settings
[Damage] Short, Medium, Long, Extra Long range
[Head shot multiplier]
[Fire Rate]
Maybe an option change the ads speed kind of like the pules rifle
[Bullet Travel Time]
Hit scan could be 0 all the way up to matrix time.
[Accuracy or Bloom]
maybe an x y z axis modifier could make this fun to try different ways of playing
[Auto or Semi-Auto Feature]
Upgrade Bench (UI) [Game play]
You can see the gun model on a bench with or without a wrap
It can have a side bar on how much the gun can be modified along with selected modifications that the gun already has.
Resources can have a big part in this as well. It can be upgraded like the gold system or crafted with certain other materials.
Mod Bench (Basic settings) [Creative]
[Suppressors]
can reduce visual and hearing audio such as 0 makes no noise and 100 could be louder then reboot vans at the start of chapter 3
[Barrel Grip]
Can reduce or increase how much the ads recoil is on the axis
[Barrel] (idea)
Can be taken off or put on for different ranges and spread (axis)
[Magazine size] (Idea)
While it can change how many bullets the gun can hold, I would also thing that there can be an option to make it a twin mag or single or double drum
[Sight/Scope] (Idea-ish)
The option to revert scopes and sights back to 3rd person
Iron sights can be customized in different shapes for different perspectives. Sniper Scopes can be changed to the older UI models from chapter 1-3
[Other ad-ons] (Idea)
Like the Zoom or Thermal DMR’s I could see maybe a launcher attachment come in some form of a grenade launcher, smoke launcher, shockwave launcher, emp launcher air strike launcher ect. ect.
[Amo] (Idea)
If amo in the future has special effects I could see different mag types
[Effects] (Idea)
Like how exotics have certain effects, the possibility of adding an effect that has already been created could open doors to new games. An example I could think of is in chapter 2 season 7 when you got abducted into the mother ship for that mini game to collect coins to level up your rarity of weapons.
Mod Bench (UI) [Game play]
Like the benches in battle royal currently already each section of the gun can have a change in optic or barrel and perhaps a way of stacking certain mods if it makes sense.
Weapons can be upgraded with limitations on all of these features in creative for the game. It could be for a select few guns or gun types
If all these topics have been discussed before I’m sorry but I would really like to hear any ideas from anyone reading this, because I’m trying my best to learn how to code something close to what I wrote down.
