Hello everyone here.
I always wondered why through the years of existence of Dualshock 4 and Unreal Engine nobody compiled a plugin for UE4 with the full support of Dualshock’s features of lightbar, touchpad panel and gyroscopes. Non-official for sure (but greedy Sony won’t give you the DLL required), but still. An open-source alternative would be greatly appreciated, I’m sure.
DS4Windows exists for a long time and has this fully working.
Is creation like this prohibited, will it cause an issue with Sony or something else? Or just nobody is interested?

Yeah, for exemple Unity 2022 and Construct 3 already have support for Dualshock 4 included the light bar.
Unreal has it as well, it’s just that the plugin is closed-source because Sony doesn’t want the DS4 API to be used publicly. Why? Who knows…

I mean support DS4 as open source, no Sony APIs.
