I don’t know if this is a thing but I really would like someone to make a plugin or whatever for me(and everyone else) with two-ish hotkeys that I desperately need for level design. It is beyond my skills to implement.
I have worked as a professional Level Designer in other engines and these greatly increases the speed in which I can make levels.
(1)
Hold to drag selected actor(s) along a preselected(or xy) plane (As if you had grabbed the movement gizmo to move along a plane) and hold shift to ignore grid.
Extra: Could be one keybinding for moving each axis and combined 2 axis. (Hold to move along <X, Y, Z, XY, XZ, YZ> axis)
Extra 2: A keybinding for moving an actor the same way as when dragging an actor from a Content Browser.
(Also if they could be editor wide that would be super amazing, like moving things in a blueprint view or sequencer etc.)
(2)
Press to snap selected actor(s) origin to the origin of the actor at cursor location. (If multiple, the first selected actor should snap to origin and the rest should keep its relative position to it) (There are similar ones to this already in engine but they are not as quick/easy to use)
I want this so much I would be willing to pay a little bit for it if needed. Or a favour for a favour or something. God I want this so much! I really hate making levels in Unreal without these!
Also if someone has no interest in making this but have the knowledge could you please tell me how hard or much work this might be to implement?
Thank you sorry if this post is placed wrong or something
