I wanna make a character for my game, so I was wondering if someone could make a tutorial from scratch how to make characters (low poly, high poly, map baking, texturing) and make clothes for that character. Or if someone knows where I can find such tutorial already?
Well making content is something you learn by doing as to purpose of design and not just another task of moving dots around to create shape and form. From the pushing of buttons stand point just do it as you will get better by living through the mistakes that every one has to pay. This is not a jack in Matrix world where you can ram a 6 inch spike into your head and then suddenly know Kung Fu.
The thing about game content is it is art but more than that it’s a combining of an ideology as to the purpose the art has to serve so how something is done is easy to learn or even put into a book but knowing what the artist is thinking as to their process is what makes the difference between what is useful and what just looks good like a painting on a wall.
As a starting point this is the guy

Paul Steed has set the standards as to making “usable” character models that’s still relevant today.
Well of course I’m aware it’s not just about watching the process of creation. Making good art, whether it’s game, movie, book or anything requires imagination, and putting your soul into the asset. But what I wanted was, “how to sculpt”, “how to texture it”, “how to do organic modelling as a whole”. And then when you know how to make that character, you can set your imagination to the , and create the greatest character for anything.
