[REQUEST]HELP - A way to easily move props / brushes / objects around in the editor (without widget)

Hey all,

I’ve worked with a few game engines and editors and I was wondering if there’s an easier way to move props and other objects around in the editor rather than having to use the widget.

An example of this would be, in one professional AAA editor I’ve used - when you click on a prop or object, you can hit Ctrl + Shift + left Mouse click, and the prop / object automatically moves to your mouse cursor location and flushes itself flat to the Z axis (surface) of what you click on (kind of like a snap to surface on mouse cursor location). This obviously makes moving things around much easier than using the widget. Even Hammer can copy and paste to a location - so…

I was wondering if there is any way to do this in UE4 - or something similar? Or is there a way to request a feature like this? Right now I find moving stuff around to be somewhat cumbersome (using the widget)

Thanks!

anyone? I’m really suprised there’s not an easier way to move stuff around in the editor - any tips at all would be greatly appreciated! Using the widget all the time is quite slow in comparison to what other editors are able to do. I mean, even Hammer can copy and paste to the mouse cursor location when a brush is selected.

Thanks again, sorry for bump but I haven’t been able to find much on this.
