In 2021, Fortnite and multiple Music artists including fabled artist Ariana Grande came together to bring the event “RIFT TOUR”. The inclusion of multiple artists made it possible for Epic to add their own spin on things and make every set piece they used fit EXTREMELY well in Fortnite’s art style.
Such as “Cuddle World” and “Storm King”
These locations is entirely dependant on Fortnite/Epic’s IP meaning that unless other legal troubles arise this should be a valid set piece to add into the toolset.
Throughout the rest of the event nothing in the set design seems tied to Ariana Grande or any of the other artists. The only thing really tying to the collab itself is the event audio, animation and sequences which can all be ignored.
The request bluntly is to give creators access to these assets and if there are legal troubles maybe Epic could regroup with the IP holders for this event and potentially other events such as Travis Scott’s “Astronomical” and Marshmello’s “Party at Pleasant Park” (Which they already partially added with the concert stage in 2019) to add their assets under the Brand Islands Program (Program that brought Star Wars, TMNT and more)
Epic has done a similar thing before where they added the assets from their concert with Kid Laroi back in 2023. This proves that Epic has the power to do this.
