request for further player movement/input controls

Ive been sat and thinking about various game genres and how creating these could be easier in some ways and more fun in others. i keep coming into the same things.

You cannot disable player jump and when using popup device or anything with a button the confirm can also trigger a character to jump. I use input triggers to disable the effect but then you have to account for pc players aswell.

In a deathrun im thinking of i wish to be able to disable jumpin, crouch and also enable auto run/glide/run currently the auto feature is a player action ie double click the left thumbstick on controller but imagine the player always is running and has to doge ect itd make some nice deathruns and open the genre to some new ideas. crouch and jump also could be beneficial.

Could just add options to the player movement device :slight_smile:

Auto walk/glide/swim/run is the one :slight_smile:

Also we cannot consume input for player movement ie stop the player going backward, left, right, forward ??? this could be a cool feature too

“Player Input” is on the roadmap for Q3, it mentions “overriding jump” - so some of what you’re saying in your first post might be possible.
