Anyone else tried a dualshock 4 yet? Doesn’t seem to work for me. I don’t have a 360 controller but it should be plug and play right?
Anyone tried it yet?
Does your gamepad work in windows? I mean in control panel and whatever is there for gamepad setup?
With xbox controller it was really plug and play for me, but it’s a version for PC/Win.
Yes, DS4 is properly recognized by windows. When I open it’s calibration settings everything reacts to my controller inputs, axis, buttons etc.
I don’t think that this version of rocket will support dualshock 4. A work around for this is to use this link “http://forums.pcsx2.net/Thread-DS4-To-XInput-Wrapper” or use this (I use this one) “http://www.extremetech.com/gaming/176263-how-to-use-a-dualshock-4-to-play-pc-games”
and you can trick computer into thinking that you are using a 360 controller although touch pad will be useless, there is no vibrate, and you wont be able to develop for it.
I hope this helps.
Thanks for work around! It would be nice though if Epic could confirm if DualShock 4 support is planned. Thanks!
Full DS4 support requires a DLL form Sony that we can’t redistribute. I don’t see a way that we will be able to give native DS4 controller support (with touchpad, etc) any time soon…
I see, is it possible though to support DS4 with it’s basic features: Sticks, d-pad and regular buttons without need of a work around in future?
Basically, you want what that XInput hackery does, but moved into engine?
I would rather get Sony to allow us to redist DLL [ them now]
Any response from Sony? Thanks for going extra mile for us, btw
