Request : Add existing CP's dropdown list to measurement

Just a quick one, Im quite new to RC, so this is a usability observation from a newbie - in the define distance constraint options, you have to type in the point name A and B - it seems really silly not to just have a dropdown listing all the existing CP’s? I mean, I was testing april tags which get autonamed after the tag with colons and all sorts, a real pain to have to type in - very laborious.

Hope this might be a simple thing to change and save some time for users! Cheers.

PS, yes, I did copy and paste the names, but again, a right pain!

Cheers, Woody

Hello Woody,
thank you for your request. It was added to our feature requests database.

Hi otrhan , great, hope it makes it in!

Another request Im struggling with, is align ground for squewy floor alignment, it would be great to be able to set an altitude or Z height to cp’s (tie points), this way, you could get pixel accurate ground points effortlessly. Changing the cp’s to gcp’s sort of works by copying the calculated coordinates and then changing z to zero, but that makes the xy coordinates wrong - just a simple Z=0 for all cps would be a simple way to level a model. hope you agree!?

Cheers

… Or like in CloudCompare, a live 3 point click to define ground plane.

Hi @PLAN8.EARTH
When you add the coordinate(s) to CPs, then they aren’t basically just CPs, they became GCPs.
But I’ll add it as a feature request for defining a ground plane.

Hi, yeah I see the ambiguity of the crossover, but with GCP’s you have to specify all three axis, which is fine if you know the horizontal axis, but if you don’t, and just need to say " these three points are floor level, wherever the are relative to each other" would be very handy..! Cheers for your time.
