This device [Item Placer] is lacking a Cost setting to make it better.
Currently, if we want to set a cost for players to get an item, the best way to do it is with the Vending Machine device. It’s simple and performs this task effectively, the problem is it’s too big and outdated.
We can re-create the device in a smaller scale using the Item Placer and doing some material work, but then we also have to use a Conditional button device to remove the gold from the payer inventory, and an Item Granter device to grant the item. So players are not really interacting with the Item Placer, in this case it’s only used to display the item. The actual item-granting is done by the two other devices.
If the Item Placer had a Cost setting, we would no longer need to use the Conditional Button and the Item Granter. This would be the perfect alternative to Vending Machines without sacrificing too much memory.
I think the creator community would greately beneffit from this.
Thanks.
