Replication behaviour differs between editor and standalone build

I am doing a simple shooter prototype and I have used the fps shooter assets to create a simple anim blueprint.
My character is a BP based on character.h

When I test my game in-editor the animation(simple blendspace based on velocity and direction) works great, but as soon as I make an actual build or run a standalone test my animations on the client looks off( as if velocity is not replicated )
