Repackage uassset with new dataset/files

How to modify content inside uasset/ repackage from base files to it
So the info online is almost nonexistant.

Lets see:


Possible: Extract *pak file to uasset/uexp

Possible: Extract *psk from said uasset/uexp

Possible: play around with model, modify, re-rig etc, recreate a *psk as you wish

???: Repackage a uasset with a new dataset or even just make minor changes

Possible: Repack uasset/uexp into *pak


Now. How do we get the ??? step done ?

Can it be so hard to edit uasset files ?

I know the answer is /no/, as there are tons of simple to complex mods online (from simple texture changes, to text translations to whole model swaps)

So: How to do this ? uasset files drive me crazy. Must be in the name.

I think this might have to do with “cooking” a file (yum !).

But the thought how having the entire game/apps file structure needed for this to work with all references makes me queasy. I am sick of searching
