RenewalGS - Crusader Warrior: Customizable Character

Сharacter is game-ready for Unreal Engine 5, featuring 4K PBR textures. It is compatible with the MetaHuman Skeletal Rig, allowing for MetaHuman head integration. Weapon, scabbard and shield included.

Key Features:

  • UE5‑ready: Character using the MetaHuman Skeletal Rig.

  • Metahuman Head: This character is designed for use with Metahuman. Since the clothing and gear entirely cover the model, simply copy the pre-existing Metahuman Skeletal Mesh head and paste it into the character's Blueprint. It will then be ready for immediate use.

  • Body Types: There are two foundational Skeletal Meshes for the Normal Weight and Overweight body types.

  • Headwear: A chainmail headdress in an equipped and unequipped form with a Morph Target for adjusting the head size. 

  • Shoulder Pads: Shoulder pads can be equipped on both shoulders simultaneously or individually on each.

  • Back Scabbards: Rear scabbards are available for either the left or right side, depending on the chosen shoulder for weapon carrying.

  • Helmet: The helmet comes in two versions: with and without a visor. The visor also has animations for opening and closing.

  • Unarmored Variant: An unarmored variant of the character is also available. The gambeson in this version is a separate Skeletal Mesh with Morph Targets for precise fitting around the neck and to accommodate the Overweight body type.

  • Dynamic Equipment with Physics Assets: The character's equipment utilizes Physics Assets for realistic movement. Shoulder pads, the Sword Scabbard, the Scabbard Knife, and the shield are all equipped with these assets, allowing them to dynamically react to the character's animations.

  • Cloth Simulation: The character's lower fabric and the chainmail links around the elbows are equipped with Cloth Simulation. This allows them to automatically sway and flex in response to the character's animations, creating a more realistic and dynamic appearance.

  • Color Customization: For clothing and equipment, the character includes essential mask textures that enable flexible color customization. Four pre-set and configured demonstration variants are included, along with separate texture masks for several historical orders.

The input control script is provided as a demonstration and can be replaced with your own implementation or, for example, the standard Unreal Engine ThirdPerson template.
