Rendering broken with new graphics card.

I recently spent some Christmas present money upgrading from my old NVidia 1080 to a nice shiny NVidia 5060 Ti. I upgraded to the latest drivers and my system is fine. Playing my favourite game, I get about the same FPS with much better graphics settings. Not quite as much as I had hoped, but it is a very very very old game and the graphics engine is not the best design.

So far so good, but when I picked up working on this computer game I am working on with Unreal Engine, the graphics were completely glitched/macro-blocked. I have completely deleted all “Intermediate” and “Saved” folders, blown away all build output that I can find, and done a completely clean build. Twice.

I have also rolled back to an older commit that I know works and done a completely clean build, and still no dice.

Something about Unreal Engine, specifically, does not work when using 590.48.01-1 NVidia open drivers with my 5060 Ti GPU. It did work with the 580.95.05-1 NVidia (non-open) drivers with my old 1080 GPU.

I have tried rolling back to the 580.95.05-1 NVidia open drivers, but they do not compile (I am using Arch Linux and DKMS). I haven’t tried the non-open drivers, but ultimately I need to move forward, not backwards on driver version.

Is anybody else having problems with a 5060 Ti and Unreal Engine? Where can I check for known issues?

I just tried with the older non “open” drivers and they do not work with this graphics card.

I then went onto my work XUbuntu partition and changed to the “open” drivers. XUbuntu is still on 580 drivers. Unreal engine works fine there. So it looks like a driver issue. I have sent an email to NVidia about this issue.
