Render scene with a lower FOV into a texture without the use of a SceneCaptureComponent

Hi all!

Basically what im trying to achieve is a picture in picture effect for a sniper scope. Currently im using a SceneCaptureComponent2D but the problem with it is that it is a very big performance thief.
Was wondering if more experienced people here knew another way of doing what im trying to do with a significantly less performance taxing method.
