Render Hair with Translucent Material

Hi, I am having trouble rendering Hair shader. I am trying to create realistic hair using polygonal modelling method. However, with the Masked Blend mode the hair seems super stiffed. The translucent mode gave me the soft and fluffy effect that I am after but it became see through at the certain camera angles. Is there anyway to make the faces stop going through each other? or make the translucent became absolute solid when the opacity is 1?
