How can I remove the cinecamera actor controls from the viewport? I dont require these here since I already have them in the sequencer and they are taking up precious screen real estate.

Found it =) . Newbie mistake but I will leave it here in case it’s helpful for anyone else. To remove it go to “Perspective” on your viewport and make sure you have your Viewport Type set as “Default Viewport” instead of “Cinematic Viewport”
