Hi everyone, I just realised my laptop doesn’t really have the right hardware to work comfortably in Unreal 5, I don’t want to break the bank and get a new PC, as I usually work for studios that provide hardware. I do previs and cinematics and would like to practise coming from maya. My question is: does anyone know any good remote PC providers that have good hardware to accommodate animation work, camera sequencer, cinematics? ( So no remote desktop solution - an actual remote PC ) I`ve checked out flaneer and vagon but not sure which package is the best to get started in Unreal 5. Thanks in advance for any tips!!!
Hi JCBury, Welcome to the Forums,
I’ve heard mention of using Parsec from some friends. I remember being impressed about support for dual displays. (Easy switching) Whereas I remember needing to ask my co-workers to unplug one of my monitors to remote in using Chrome Remote Desktop.
Edit: I was imagining you remoting into your ‘studios provided hardware’ instead of buying a PC, but it looks like you’re looking for something different. Take a look at https://shadow.tech/
Hi there, perhaps I wasn`t that clear enough . Yes, I would like to remote into a separate pc that I would rent exclusively for Unreal, to do some “training”. I will take a look at shadow thanks.
