Hi all,
I made a Substance 3D Painter plugin that sends textures straight into an open UE5 editor. One button exports with your Painter preset, imports the maps with the right compression and sRGB settings, merges UDIM tiles into Virtual Textures, and creates a Material Instance per texture set, assigned to your selected Static Meshes. Ready-made master materials are included, or it can map to your own.
It uses Unreal’s built-in Python Remote Execution, so there’s nothing to install on the Unreal side besides ticking one project setting.
Painter 8.3+, UE 5.0–5.8, Windows. Paid ($17 personal).
