REJECTED for a UEFN MEGA GRANT - Here is what I submitted

I submitted for an EPIC MEGA GRANT a few months back and I was rejected. I have danced with the idea of posting what I submitted to Epic here on the dev forums for quite some time and finally decided to do so. Maybe it will help other developers interested in making an attempt at a mega grant for some info as to what is not good enough.

Quick preface- I started dev via creative so my background is only really upheld by my analytics but that being said, I have hit 10+ million plays.

The project: History on Fortnite or HoFN for short.
The idea was to create a series of maps for use in a classroom setting. Essentially, I wanted something that teachers could use to engage their students. Something that might have been boring is obviously alot more fun on fortnite, especially getting to show off skins ect. I built a quick proof of concept website (and even paid for a domain) because I felt that if I wanted this to become an actual resource that could be used for teaching I needed to outline all the information I used so the website did exactly that, provided sources of information used, a lesson plan, and the landing page included information on how to access the project

The proposal, I put together a proposal document that went over all the aspects of the project in detail. Screenshots below (note: I accidentally geeked the formatting up by switching the filetype from pdf to doc, the original document’s formatting was alot better)

I cant help but think if this had been submitted earlier they would have awarded me because I put a ton of effort and time into this project- I say this because shortly after I was rejected; the massive layoff occurred :frowning: but besides the rejection, only thing to do is to keep keeping on! Cant let it set me back! Hopefully this helps any folks out there on the edge about submitting for a project and dont quite know if they have enough to get awarded. If anyone is interested in getting in on this and helping me out in areas where im not strong, I’m sure epic would much rather get behind 2 or more devs rather then just myself.
