When I updated Twinmotion 2025.2, Revit is not able to find the the Twinmotion and says it is not installed
Same issue here (FR), Twinmotion 2025.1 work with Revit 2026 but not Twinmotion 2025.2. It’s dont found the app, so can’t sync (and same, can’t sync directly in twinmotion app).
Guess the version 2025.2 is not supported yet. Have to wait.
I had the same problem: after updating to Twinmotion 2025.2, Revit couldn’t find Twinmotion anymore and said it was not installed.
Here’s how I managed to fix it:
-
I have Revit 2026.3, Twinmotion 2025.1.1, and Twinmotion 2025.2 installed.
-
I open Twinmotion 2025.1.1 and create a new empty project.
-
Then I open Revit 2026.3, go to the Twinmotion panel, and click “Import”.
-
I browse to the Revit project file, but don’t actually import it — I just use this step to verify that the link between Revit and Twinmotion is detected and valid.
-
I close Twinmotion 2025.1.1.
-
I open Twinmotion 2025.2 and import or reload the same Revit file from there.
By doing this intermediate step through version 2025.1.1, Twinmotion 2025.2 successfully recognizes Revit 2026.3, and everything works fine again.
I hope this helps!
If something isn’t clear, I can explain it in another way or share screenshots of the process.
