I’m working on a project for my game design class at college. My team made a custom character model for the game and I had successfully imported and retargeted its animations to the Unreal mannequin. However, the version of the model that I used was not UVd, so I sent it to the texture artists and got a fixed version back today. However, whenever I reimported the model, all animations completely broke. There weren’t any changes to the rigging, just some UVs and the re-inclusion of the eyes since I accidentally forgot to include them when exporting the original rigged model.
Here are some images of what the model should look like versus what happened post-reimport (yes it is actually that big now)
I am at my wit’s end trying to figure out how to fix this. I’d like to avoid having to completely re-make everything and start over since I made some custom animations alongside the Unreal ones and I’d prefer not to have to do that all over again.
EDIT: Ok, so I’ve fixed the previous bug, but I’ve created a new one in its stead, as while I’ve managed to get the UV’d version in, it’s got some weird problems with the left hip bone. I’ve been able to fix this on the animations that I made myself by going into their animation sequences and fixing it there, but with the animations I retargeted from the mannequin I can’t do that since I didn’t make them.
