I’ve created a tiled landscape in World Machine, imported it in Unreal using world composition (Levels>Import tiled landscape). When importing I also specified the material and imported the weight maps. Everything works fine.
Immediately after that I load all tiles in Unreal, right click in world composition window (the “minimap”), and choose Reimport tiled landscape > Heightmap. Nothing happens, except for a warning: “LogStreaming:Warning: The heightmap file’s resolution does not match the requested resolution”
Same thing with weightmaps, they are not reimported either.
It’s exactly the same files in the same location that I try to reimport, just to be sure it’s not some source path error.
I have 32 tiles (4x8), each tile is 127x127 quads, 2x2sections, 8x8 components, total resolution 2033x2033.
have the same trouble with a 8x8 1009 tileset.
reimporting via world composition does nothing
reimporting via landscape editor tile by tile works but is awful and i get a unshaded lod0 if i reimport more then 2 layers and a crash if i load more then 3 layers
im on 4.16.2
my weightmap pngs are located outside of project root and always stay in the same place on my local machine
Ok I found out why, but I don’t have a fix. If you have a terrain that’s say 253x253 (a recommended size), on reimport it thinks it should be 252x252. I don’t know why.
