Hello everyone, I am a beginner learning to use UE5 and also using World Creator for terrain creation. However, when I use the Bridge tool to synchronize maps, the speed is very slow. Without enabling the world partition function, importing a 15KM x 10KM map takes about 15 hours, and after enabling the world partition function, it takes more than 24 hours. When I was searching for a solution on my own, I tried adjusting the version of DirectX to 11, increasing memory, and other solutions, but none of them worked.
I tried to contact the WC official, and they said that the import time should not exceed one hour. They also found some errors in the import log. However, they were unable to solve the problem in a short time because UE5 did not provide an interface similar to Unity that could import maps into the project. Therefore, their solution requires high maintenance costs. Every UE5 version update may cause tool abnormalities, and UE5 updates frequently.
In fact, the reason why I chose WC from numerous terrain software is because of this Bridge tool, so I feel very frustrated that it cannot be used properly.
The WC official said that I am the only person who has encountered this problem, so I cannot find a solution online on my own (there is no one who has encountered the same problem, )). I hope everyone can give me some advice to help me solve this problem, or initiate a request to integrate a Unity like interface in UE5 (unfortunately, I don’t know what kind of interface is needed). Anyway, thank you for reading, thank you.
