I followed a tutorial on YouTube and enabled the LiveLink, LiveLinkXR, OpenXR, and OpenXRViveTracker plugins. After launching SteamVR, it detected my Tracker 3.0. However, when I added the LiveLinkXR source in LiveLink, the tracker wasn’t added. Has anyone else encountered this issue? Or is it that UE 5.2 version no longer recognizes the tracker?
Did you solve your issue?
I recently ran into some live link issues with trackers not showing up that I solved so I wanted to add some extra things to watch out for when setting this up.
- make sure you launch the unreal editor with the command line arg -xrtrackingonly
- also make sure your trackers are visible in steam before launching unreal
- lastly; the thing that got me. I was trying to run live link with just trackers and no headset and steam decided to open the dashboard which must block live link from picking up any data from SteamVR. I had to go into the Steam Dashboard settings and turn everything off, then restart steam and the dashboard wasn’t there. Then I could see the trackers with Livelink. If you need to see if the dashboard is open without a headset you can choose
Display VR View
in the steamvr menu
